After getting pregnant due to being sexually assaulted and experiencing years of physical/verbal abuse by her live-in boyfriend, Jeremy, Danita must find a way to put her life back together. She’s finally able to do that with Paul and believe she’s found her happily ever after; they’ve grown their family and he’s accepted her son as his own. After Paul’s passing, Danita is faced with the difficult decision of telling her son that the father he’s known all his life is not his biological father, now that Jeremy has resurfaced.
