I heard God’s quiet, still voice. Why was God telling me this? I have been following Him a long time. People often ask if God still speaks to His people today? Absolutely! I will answer that with a resounding yes. There is no physical place I have to be in to hear God’s voice. I can be in my car, in my bed, or even in the shower. Sometimes even when my spirit is in a low place, God speaks words of love and encouragement.
On April 16, 2019 I was sitting on a plane far from home. I was thanking God for allowing me to be the vessel used to preach salvation to so many people in India. As I was reflecting on all that had happened there, God spoke the words from Matthew 4:18-20 to me. I began to pray and seek Him right there on the plane. I soon came to realize that He wanted me to show others how to actively search for lost souls. It was no longer enough for me to win souls, but He wanted me to share with others His formula. God uses His people to do His fishing.
God showed me myself in a vision writing a manual on fishing for souls. Sitting on that plane, I was convinced beyond a shadow of a doubt that God was giving me an urgent assignment. The press was such that I knew the manual had to be published in the same year that God gave me the vision. As you read it, read it with an open mind and an open spirit as we explore being fishers of men.
In this manual I want the readers to learn the techniques of fishing, the when, what, how, and where. In 2019 there are many empty seats in our churches. Why? We as Christians, have been trying to fill up our churches with people from other churches and not with the lost souls in the world. After reading this manual, I want you to be able to grow church membership, Bible Study attendance, and I want your very life to be transformed.
