Himalia Gets a Dog

Meet Himalia, who is excited to get a pet after her parents by a new home. Himalia’s mother takes her to adopt a pet. At the animal shelter, she finds the perfect pet, a small dog named Haley, and she immediately loves her! When she brings her little dog home she learns, from her father, all the things that she needs to know to take care of her, including walking, feeding, bathing, the need for her to visit a Veterinarian, kenneling and more. In addition to having a new best friend, she learns about the responsibilities involved in caring for her little dog, with her parents help. It is a story about friendship, love, fun, financial responsibility, pet care, learning, and the joy of having a new, furry, best friend to play with.
