This book, The Seventy Sevens Prophecy Told to Daniel by The Angel Gabriel, covers the whole prophecy given in Daniel 9:24-27 and much of the theological implications. It explains the New Testament fulfillment of Daniel 9:24 that speaks of several wonderful aspects of the accomplishments of the Messiah for the people. It explains that the decree given to Nehemiah in the month of Nisan in the 20th year of Artaxerxes marks the beginning of the counting of the seven sevens and sixty-two sevens until the Messiah, the Ruler, comes as prophesied in Daniel 9:25. It explains that the 20th year of Artaxerxes according to Nehemiah, who was a descendent from Judah, was the 21st year according to the Babylonian way of counting the year of the king. It is the first book that correctly uses the Julian date for the 21st year of Artaxerxes in the month of Nisan as April 3-May 1, 444 B.C. Julian according to Babylonian Chronology 626 B.C.-A.D. 75 by R. A. Parker and W. H. Dubberstein. It Calculates the seven sevens and sixty-two sevens after the decree of Artaxerxes until the Messiah, the Ruler, comes (as prophesied in Daniel 9:25) using both the Julian calendar and the ancient Babylonian calendar. The calculation arriving at March 30, 33 A.D., the exact date of the triumphal entry of Jesus through the Eastern Gate. It explains that the triumphal entry of Jesus into Jerusalem fulfills until the Messiah, the Ruler comes and that the crucifixion of Jesus fulfills Messiah shall be cut off, but not for Himself as prophesied in Daniel 9:25-26. It explains the three days and three nights in the heart of the earth spoken of by Jesus. It includes extrabiblical references for the dark as night and the earthquake during the day time on the day Jesus was crucified with Eusebius’s quote of Phlegon in Greek, which is translated into English in this book, and Julius Africanus’s critique of Phlegon and Thallus on the matter. It mentions that a red moon eclipse the evening Jesus was crucified, April 3, 33 A.D.. has been verified by astronomical calculations. It includes a summary of A History of The Jewish Wars by Flavius Josephus concerning the destruction of Jerusalem and the Temple as prophesied in Daniel 9:26.
