Centered around the universal theme that all suffering provides opportunity for growth, The Rising shines light on both the individual and collective pain currently manifesting in our world. The poems within are reflective of Barnes’ own process of awakening, as well as the inspiration she found to help heal herself and others through three distinct yet necessary stages of personal development: awakening to our unique gifts and talents, healing what stands in our way, and rising up to become inspirational leaders for ourselves and for our world.

Serving as a call to sacred action, The Rising reminds us that the time is now to cultivate healing within. The time is now to align with love rather than darkness. The time is now to Awaken, Heal, and Inspire.
