Altered Vows

Zack Stack upon returning to Baltimore realizes the world he once lived has changed. His mind in a swirl as he attempts to adapt to and accept the changes, a former nemesis arrives to enlist the help of Zack and the Dre-Zack Detective Agency. Zack’s personal life crashes into his professional life and forces him to make a decision everyone suspects Zack will regret. But the life of two missing girls is at stake and Zack can’t say no. His Dre-Zack team knew it before Zack did. Zack jumps full-on into the investigation but isn’t communicating and the concern stresses the agency. The investigation takes turn after turn no one expects, and Zack realizes again, he may be at the wrong end of the law. Part of that law wants Zack back in prison for good. But Zack can’t shake the feeling it’s going to get worse. And it gets deadly quick. Zack’s new client, a man who tried to have him killed before, seemingly has changed and only wants to find his missing daughter. But his contacts and dark past keeps Zack on edge. The alliance moves forward, clues to finding the missing girl and her friend surface and the threat level elevates, not surprisingly to Zack or those around him. With the help from the new office manager and Zack’s slow acceptance that his new normal is anything but the way it was, Zack confides in those closest to him, to save relationships with the few people in his life. The situation complicates, and forces a decision Zack and his best friend, Dre, know will result in them both dead. The final confrontation exposes a sinister plot with even more sinister connections. And dissolves the allegiance Zack made and leaves him in a fight for his life.
