With sweat dripping down my face, I gripped the white Kleenex and decided to take one more minute. When I opened my mouth to answer his question, life as I once knew it would never be the same. Amber, how did you get here? He asked me again. I don’t know, I said. Because the last thing I remember is leaving the guys room and waking up in a hospital.

In her debut book, Hupomone, Amber shares her story of God’s faithfulness through adversity, hardship, and broken relationships. Hupomone says, I don’t understand why this is happening to me but I know that life isn’t meant to kill me, but rather build me, and if I can just hold on and go through this storm, I just might learn everything I need for the person I’m becoming.
