What would you do if life gave you one too many lemons? If it felt like the bad hits just kept coming, one after the other? For Naomi, that was reality. Her life was filled with abuse and constant hardships. Love was never readily available, and she had to learn what love meant on her own. Growing up in a small town where everyone knows everyone and your neighbors seem like lovely people on the outside, but on the inside, dark things lurk in the shadows. Life was hard and Naomi’s innocence was stolen on more than one occasion, along with her childhood. But through faith and strength, she worked toward her hopes and dreams. Abuse is a reality that many people face, whether it’s in the past or a current situation, but Naomi’s story is one to inspire change, to make you take a hold of your strength and regain your power. Naomi’s story is inspired by true events, and it was written in the hopes that even though it is difficult to overcome trauma, it is possible.
