Reflections

What do journalism and poetry have in common? On the face of it, very little. True, both forms tend to be relatively short, addressing big ideas in a concise manner. I cannot separate my poetry from my life as a journalist or vice versa. Open this book and you’ll see what I mean. It’s all there: love, joy, frustration that someone you know is being hurt and you cannot stop it. A little more than 30 years of my life, condensed into about 50 pages.
