These three songs, ‘The cold wind blew’, ‘The spring came and the summer and fall’ and ‘So Helson smiled and Bunyan smiled’ were first performed on 10 June 1974 at the Snape Maltings Concert Hall as part of the Aldeburgh Festival by the Wandsworth School Choir conducted by Russell Burgess.
