The Whispers of Our Fathers presents the reader with the interactions of two traditional Cuban families, the De La Cruz and Martinez, as they attempt to impact the course of the Cuban Republic. This is the second of a four-part story of struggle, triumph, redemption and renewal that effectively takes the reader on a journey through Cuban hitory from the days of the new republic through the rise of Fidel Castro. The Whispers of Our Fathers will culminate with events that will lead to the Cuban Revolution and the defection of the family to the United States.
