Her love affair with design and illustration began at an early age, at the High School of Art and Design in New York City, then Pratt Institute in Brooklyn, New York, and continues in her current roles of practicing professional and educator. She began her professional career in advertising, as an art director at Doyle Dane Bernbach and Marsteller Advertising in New York. In 1979, she established Suzanne Anoushian Design, specialising in graphic design and illustrative services for a number of clients, primarily in the food-related area of public relations - some of which remain active clients today.
