It includes a ringside seat into the development of New Zealand's cooperative dairy industry over several critical decades and provides a revealing insight into the turbulent times during the late 1990s, ultimately resulting in the formation of global dairy giant Fonterra.

One of the most influential leaders of his generation, the author's leadership experience spanned many of Australia and New Zealand's leading companies. His extensive experience in international trade and trade policy influenced the growth and development of key export industries.

Sir Dryden Spring was chairman of New Zealand's largest exporter, the New Zealand Dairy Board, ANZ Bank New Zealand, and a director of many of New Zealand's and Australia's leading companies, including Goodman Fielder, Fletcher Challenge, Sky City and Port of Tauranga.

He is a Laureate of the New Zealand Business Hall of Fame, a Distinguished Fellow of the New Zealand Institute of Directors, and was a member of the APEC Eminent Persons Group which drafted the APEC Vision. Sir Dryden has retired and now lives in Tauranga, New Zealand.
