Kabbalah and Vedic wonderings is a dialogue, recorded in emails, text messages and phone conversations, between two contrasting people, living seven hours apart from each other, whom at a first sight may have nothing in common; different stages in life, nationalities, upbringings, interests and faiths. Paul, a British man with a sharp and analytical mind, is a retired automotive engineer, living in Auckland, the biggest city in New Zealand. He built his life around the mystical Kabbalah that he studied and implemented in each aspect of his existence. On the Tree of Life and on pure science, research and data, he built his system of faith that gave his being peace that not many have achieved in their mortal existence. Devi, a Clinical Hypnotherapist, born in the mythical Transylvania, now resides in the provincial town of New Plymouth. She modeled her life on the seed that is the Vedic philosophy, which, for the past few decades, was her prominent interest; her insatiably curious and fast learning mind being almost limitless in its quest for knowledge and understanding.
Their differences dissolved when they met in 2020 in a spiritual fraternity, based on ancient secrets and mysteries, which they are now both part of, he as an attentive mentor and she as his ardent pupil. Not long after they connected, when cancer hit Devi, Paul was the one who made a plan of surviving through surgery and medical treatments and beating the illness by throwing her into study. The endless conversations between the two developed into a body of work, which ultimately became a book when Devi was cured. Therefore, this book was written during a period of personal trauma, when Devi, an already published author of two hypnotherapy books, was dealing with cancer and completed when her illness was in remission.
Kabbalah and Vedic wonderings is a proof that different faiths, in this case Judaism and Hinduism have a common ground. The book analyses the main subjects of human existence, aspirations for eternal life from both perspectives, evidencing similarities between faiths and proving that Oneness is the only option for the survival of humanity.
