Chase Robinson has never known how seriously to take the premonitory dreams that come in the minutes before he wakes. Often they are followed by life-changing events. His latest dream is of something unknown coming closer… A farmer and entrepreneur, Chase is a man of many abilities. Now he is being asked to use those abilities and his own particular skills with sword and bow to assist an alien planet. This means trading a valuable resource it harbours to convince the inter-galactic Federation to repair its failing sun. Overtaken by events he had not anticipated, yet strangely at home in this unknown world that echoes a 16th century Europe, Chase begins to discover what’s been missing from his life. That sometimes brings its own challenges and dilemmas. He could deal with all this so much better if he could rid himself of a nagging worry that he hasn’t been told everything by the alien crew of the Startrader.
