The five major sections of the book cover words formed by adding suffixes; words formed by adding prefixes; parasyntheta (words formed by the simultaneous addition of a prefix and a suffix); other common methods of word formation (e.g., compound words; derivations from one part of speech to another, such as nouns derived from verbs); and hybrid formations created by some combination thereof.
