Techniques for Desert Reclamation

Desert degradation is one of the great environmental problems which faces the human race and it has now become a matter of international concern. Much debate has surrounded the question of causation but a no less key issue is the question of solutions. The purpose of this volume is to review some of the essentially technological solutions that may be appropriate to improve the status and productivity of arid lands.
