We are a group of Professors, civic leaders, designers who are concerned about America's aging population and opening up viable solutions to the well being and affordable care for our Aging population. Often this demographic is merely 'swept under the carpet' with expensive solutions of hospice care or placed on the family as a co-live. We would like to propose a system where the aged would live 'in place' (with solutions to visiting healthcare) and devise models for design in which the aged would find 'a well designed place' where they could share health care and staffing.
