This book is written after several years of teaching Java at the Coastal College of Georgia. This book is a rewrite of my first book, Structured Java, and adds in the object-oriented programming (OOP) aspects of Java. It is geared towards students starting in computer science. I stress the basics of software engineering and building good methods in the first half and expand that effort in OOP in the second half. The goal is to build a solid foundation in Software Engineering, OOP, and Java.
