HA! & OTHER SHORT NOVELS is a collection of three tales all considering the emotional cost of failed idealism. The first drafts of these works were completed in the early 1980's as full blown novels, but editing over the years trimmed each book into the shorter form of a novella - thus sharpening focus and theme. Thus the stories of a journalist, an employment counselor and an errant priest are presented here in a triangular lesson about attempting to do good works in life and falling short of the mission.
