In the 19th century black and white hand drawings and color ads could be found in periodicals and magazines. There were ads for farm machinery, laundry soap, stove polish, and women's fashions. Victorian trade cards were a popular form of collectible advertising. The cards usually had a picture on one side and an ad on the other. Sit back and enjoy these old time ads from the late 1800's.
