Il suo scritto non aveva come scopo la pubblicazione, perch? fu scritto solamente per ricordare tutte le sue vicissitudini alla sua amata Dina in modo che quando sarebbe tornato in Italia lei potesse rivivere con lui questo periodo della vita in cui erano stati separati. Ho voluto pubblicarlo perch? ? una testimonianza vera e sofferta della condizione di un uomo in mezzo ad una guerra e poi nella prigionia che ne ? seguita dopo la disfatta di Tobruk.
