In the summer of 2018, in response to the government's cruel policies of separating families at the border who were seeking asylum, artist Paula Billups created 30 paintings in 30 days and sold them online. She donated 100%% of the profits to the Texas Civil Rights Project, which advocates for disenfranchised people and which played a role in assisting these refugees with their legal and logistical needs. This book is a compilation of those works, and 100%% of the profit from its sale will also be donated to the TCRP. Ms. Billups conceived this project independently, and is not affiliated with the TCRP.
