This is a story about a family who started their American dream on a farm in Brooklyn, New York. The author recounts his family's start in America, as best as he can construct it. He continues examining his family's story through the World War II era. This was a period of great change in the Geller family. At the end of World War II, the Geller family farm was turned into a gas station. The author's father bought a home a few miles away from the original Geller family farm when the author himself was born. After a few jobs, the author describes his experiences in academia; specifically at George Mason University, in Fairfax, Virginia. During his stint at George Mason University, the author served in numerous capacities at the university, concluding with the observatory director. The author's life was then focused on his brother, who fought a losing battle with metastasized malignant melanoma. Life's lessons are highlighted in the author's review of his family's life and times.
