This study examines the relationship between race and class, and considers how these two concepts articulate to determine class relationships in British society. Sharon Daye argues that race in the form of structural racism, plays a significant role at two levels. Firstly, it serves to determine the class position of Black labour and secondly, determines the type of race, class and political consciousness generated by Black labour in Britain.
