Take-Twos™ feature paired fiction and nonfiction titles on selected topics. These matched books provide readers with an opportunity to compare and contrast, distinguish between fact and fiction, and make transitions between fact and fiction strategies. Students will find Take-Twos™ have high-interest topics including animals, sports, science, art and more. Each pair of books also has an 8-panel guided reading lesson plan on cardstock. These lessons were carefully crafted to provide the support students and teachers need during small-group instruction. These include activities for before, during and after the reading, a skills bank and 3 blackline masters. These Lesson Plans (8-panel) are available in topic sets with the two related 6-packs or as part of a guided reading kit, and in leveled sets.
