This, the first volume in the new Greenwood Press series Reseach Guides in Military Studies, focuses on the United States Army during one of the most significant periods of its development. The years between the Spanish-American War and the onset of World War II saw the army mature into one with the institutional skills, technological knowledge, and trained commanders capable of engaging in a massive global effort.
