Juan Garcia Canalejas, vecino de la ciudad de Granada, debio ser un gran jugador, porque vemos aparecer su nombre en el manuscrito del licenciado Bada, cuyo manuscrito se pudo haber escrito entre 1645 y 1750. De momento no ha sido posible determinar con exactitud la fecha, porque sus composiciones tambien figuran en los libros de 1650, 1684, 1718, 1740 y en el texto del Canonigo de Sacro Monte de la ciudad de Granada.
