Clip the Crab can't understand why his best friend, Hermy the Hermit, is suddenly being so mean to him. Sometimes, everyone just needs a little space. Clip the Crab lives on a beach with his best friend, Hermy the Hermit. One day Clip asks if he can play too when Hermy gets mad at him for what seems like no reason. After an argument, Clip scuttles off and stumbles across a large shell that is Hermy's favourite colour. But knowing that his friend was angry at him, Clip waits until Hermy has his afternoon nap then quietly places the bigger shell next to him as a surprise when he wakes up. Hermy takes off his old small shell and climbs into the new one and he realises how guilty he feels venting his anger on to his friend, he sets out to apologise.
