George Orson Welles, born on May 6th, 1915, Kenosha, Wisconsin, US was an actor, director, writer, and producer, who worked in theatre, radio, and movies, being remembered for his innovative work in all 3 disciplines. On the stage his best known play is probably Caesar (1937), a Broadway adaptation of William Shakespeare's Julius Caesar; in radio, the legendary 1938 broadcast "The War of the Worlds"; and his most famous film, Citizen Kane (1941), is still ranked as one of the greatest ever made.
