Axel and Graeme are two adolescents out hunting one night with their father, Randolph, in the hills of Scotland. During the drive home, they come across a wounded 'animal', which is covered in white fur and resembles a combination of a cat, a canine and a human. When it then shocks them by talking to them, they take it in and learn that it is inf act a youthful boy by the name of Lukas. Eight Years later, they have all reached their adulthood, Graeme and Axel have opened a campsite in the glen and Lukas's existence has become an urban myth to draw in attention. Alas though, not all attention is quite the kind they wish for, as an obnoxious journalist arrives on the site and Lukas's mysterious past comes back to haunt and hunt him, as well as his adopted family.
