Jack is attracted by a mysterious newspaper advert for two very fit young people to undertake an unspecified task involving arduous hiking and trail running in mountainous terrain. To his surprise, he finds himself teamed up with Lucy, an ultra-fit exercise fanatic who thinks that she could easily do the job on her own without male support. However, the very unusual task is challenging and potentially dangerous and Lucy slowly comes to realize that she needs Jack's support more than she thought possible, especially when they get a nasty shock and are saved by what can only be described as miracle. What follows almost seems to be inevitable.
