Fred van der Wal werd tussen 2007 en 2012 regelmatig gestalkt door een groep salon-socialistische tot extremistisch linkse Volkskrantwebloggers met aan- en inhang. Zo poogden enkele webloggers Fred van Wikipedia af te krijgen en verspreidden onder pseudoniemen en aliassen laster en smaad tav zijn adres per email. De reden blijft duister. Regelmatig stuurden een aantal Vkbloggers in het nabije verleden dreigende berichten naar auteur dezes.
