Felix was working in Mamaia as a guide for English tourists on the Romanian coast of the Black Sea.
Once, he had a group of Finnish tourists to the Prahova Valley Tour, and there he met Merja. She had just divorced and was feeling vulnerable. Grateful to Felix for being kind to her, she quit her job and moved to Mamaia to work and to marry Felix.
After many difficulties, they managed to get married and they lived in Romania for several years. But, after a while, the Securitate demanded that Merja apply for Romanian citizenship. Otherwise, Felix would have to move to Finland. Easier said than done, but they managed in the end.
On their flight to Finland, Merja told Felix that she could not live without him. But, could Merja live without Felix after all?
