Alice Prin soprannominata Kiki De Montparnasse e ricordata come compagna e musa del fotografo Man Ray, ma anche per essere stata la modella di molti pittori delle avanguardie che negli anni '20 hanno vissuto e lavorato nel quartiere di Montparnasse a Parigi e, infatti, quando nel 1929 pubblico il proprio libro di Memorie, Kiki venne definita da Hemingway nell'introduzione la "regina di Montparnasse". Kiki, pero, non e stata soltanto questo, ma, come ricorda l'epigrafe sulla sua tomba, e stata "attrice, cantante e pittrice" ed e soprattutto la Kiki modella e pittrice che io ho voluto indagare e raccontare in questo libro.
