Dal 2012 Marianna Piani cura un blog di poesia, maripiani.blogspot.com, nel quale propone settimanalmente alla lettura nuovi testi originali e proprie traduzioni da Poeti di lingua inglese, francese, spagnola, tedesca, greca antica e latina. Nel 2017 ha pubblicato in forma di plaquette una sua prima raccolta in versi: "Le solitudini e i luoghi" (ISBN978-0-244-60015-0). Questo e il suo secondo libro di poesia e raccoglie testi in maggior parte inediti, selezionati dalla sua produzione recente, dal 2014 fino alla data di pubblicazione del presente volume.
