Cortney Christina Rae is a Mohawk girl who is scared to attend her first day of school as she is afraid she will get picked on for her dark skin and dark hair. Through some reassurance from her mother, and a leap of faith, Cortney hops on the school bus to experience her first day of school. As it turns out, Cortney Christian Rae ends up having a fabulous time and meets several other children who are all different, and makes some great new friends.
This is a story is a story, written in rhyme, for children and parents alike to experience and learn about all of the wonderful people, races, religions and cultures our world. Seeing this first hand through the eyes of the main character helps to educate and enlighten readers of all ages.
