This book answers the question of why organizations deviate from standards. It provides a theoretical approach and empirical explanations for deviance in organizations that go beyond an understanding of individual misbehaviour. It explores the conditions and contradictions under which deviance in organizations occurs and explains the role of the organizational members when deviating from standards.
