This revised edition has been updated and enlarged to include new recommendations for further reading and a new conclusion. Stevenson has taken into consideration the fact that most of his readers will not go on to study academic philosophy, but will rather wish to pursue more empirical questions about human nature in a less abstract fashion. Discussions of evolution, of sociobiology and of the importance of gender differences are among the features of this final chapter.
