Geography on the Edge: NCEA Level 1 (Revised Edition)

Geography on the Edge investigates why events such as the Asia Tsunami (2004), Hurricane Katrina (2005) and the Gisborne Earthquake (2007) were so devastating to the land and their communities. The text was initially written in response to a growing need for teachers and students to have up-to-date and comprehensive text that suited the requirements of the new NCEA curriculum. However, the value of the text extends beyond the New Zealand Curriculum and is also useful to students preparing for the International Baccalaureate programme of learning. This student book is the only text to satisfy all the achievement criteria of the externally assessed topic-based achievement standards.
