In the ensuing half-century, ORSAtechniques have been applied to the solution of abroad range of complex problems, and Army leadershave come to rely on ORSA analysts to assist themin the development of weapons, organization, tactics, training, management, and indeed all the fields ofmilitary endeavor. The success achieved by Army ORSA managersand analysts in their appointed task is amply demonstrated by the rapid buildup of forces in the PersianGulf in 1990 1991 and the victory of U.S. and alliedforces in the 100-hour ground war against Iraqi forcesthat followed in February 1991.
