The Side by Side Plus Picture Cards illustrate key concepts and vocabulary items. They can be used for introduction of new material, for review, for enrichment, and for role-playing activities. Suggestions for their use are included in the Teacher’s Guide. Also, the Appendix to the Teacher’s Guide contains a triple listing of the Picture Cards: numerically, alphabetically, and by category. Side by Side Plus is a standards-based and grammar-based English language program for adult and young-adult learners, The program builds students’ general language proficiency and prepares them for their life-skill roles in the community, family, school, and at work.
