LSC (Columbia Southern University) : Principles of Environmental Science

This text emphasizes how science can help us find solutions for important environmental issues. It focuses on the major questions we face and how scientists search for answers to them. Students are given a solid grounding in scientific principles and then encouraged to think analytically and creatively on their own. Following the increased risk of terrorist attacks, a revised discussion of infectious diseases and environmental health hazards is given to help students understand how diseases can spread and what factors present the greatest risk.
