Fifty Readings in Philosophy

This topically-organized anthology is intended for introductory philosophy students and could supplement primary sources or survey texts. The 50 classical and contemporary selections were chosen for their historical importance, diversity and accessibility. In addition to traditional philosophers, the collection represents non-Western thinkers, minority authors and feminists. Each reading has been checked against its original source for accuracy and is presented with biographies, summaries and notes. Most of these selections will also be available on PRIMIS, McGraw-Hill’s electronic database.
