From renowned author/illustrator Esphyr Slobodkina, whose bestselling Caps for Sale recently celebrated its 75th anniversary, comes the much anticipated sequel, More Caps for Sale.
This easy-to-read board book about a peddler and more mischievous monkey business picks up right where Caps left off, and is filled with warmth and humor. The monkeys follow the peddler home: right foot, left foot, right foot, left foot. The peddler wishes they would leave him alone, but little does he know all the good they’re causing for him and his caps. It features original art chosen by Ann Marie Mulhearn Sayer from the Slobodkina Estate archives, alongside a captivating text also developed by the Estate.
More Caps for Sale is based on discussions between Sayer and Slobodkina before Slobodkina’s passing in 2002. Through this posthumously published story, Sayer awakens Slobodkina’s voice.
