Let’s Go Shopping: Band 02b/Red B

Collins Big Cat is a guided reading series for ages 4–7 edited by Cliff Moon. Top children’s authors and illustrators have created fiction and non-fiction books that your children will love to read, banded to help you choose the right book for every child. Practical teaching notes are included at the back of each book. Using a combination of artwork and photographs, this colourful book takes children through the experience of shopping, for trainers, books, bread and all sorts of things. The left hand page shows artwork of a book shop or supermarket, while the right hand page shows a photo of children playing at shopping with a till, counter and props. There are lots of opportunities for discussion. A two page final spread shows a s story map of all the shops visited, to help children recap. This Red B (Band 2B) level book offers simple but varied text with familiar objects and actions.
