Australian artist, actor, writer, provocateur, and musician Kirin J Callinan has announced his fourth studio If I Could Sing. From the upbeat, angular synth slashes of a near death experience on ‘Anæmic Adonis’ to the Enya-inspired sincerity of the title track and the theatrical, cerebral bombast of ‘Crazier Idea’ his singular artistic vision runs the full pop gamut across the album’s twelve tracks. If I Could Sing sees Callinan seize the opportunity to showcase himself as an artist unafraid of depicting the complexity of human life, exposing and dissecting his own stories and behaviour through an honest, earnest and often self-deprecating lens. Kirin has collaborated with Connan Mockasin, Weyes Blood, Mac Demarco, Mark Ronson and Caroline Polacheck ‘Big Enough’; a duet with Alex Cameron and featuring Jimmy Barnes and Molly Lewis went viral in 2017 and its video has collected over 70 million views.
