Upcoming renovations at Readings Carlton
We are very excited to announce our Carlton shop is getting a new look!
Readings Carlton will be closing on Tuesday 22 May for approximately seven weeks for a complete refurbishment. It is 20 years since Readings moved to its current location with the current fit out. Readings Managing Director, Mark Rubbo, says: ‘The building is an ex bank and one third of the rear is taken up by the old bank safe and it’s bugged me for years. We’ll be demolishing that so we can open the area up for a much better display, events and function space. We are all very excited by the project.’
Readings is using the same architects, Nest, who did the award winning fit-out of Readings Doncaster and Readings Kids shops. Nest principal Emilio Fuscaldo says the design will be timeless and sophisticated.
During the construction period Readings will have a small pop-up shop across the road in Lygon Court, adjacent to the Aunt Maggie’s Organics store. The pop-up is scheduled to open on Thursday 24 May.

Readings Kids will remain trading as usual during this period, and there is no change in deliveries, which should continue go to the Readings Warehouse on Drummond St.
