In the UK, the shortlist for the Goldsmiths Prize has been announced. The Prize was established in 2013 to celebrate the qualities of creative daring and to reward fiction that breaks the mould or extends the possibilities of the novel form.
The titles shortlisted for the Goldsmiths Prize are:
- Slip of a Fish by Amy Arnold
- Ducks, Newburyport by Lucy Ellmann
- The Porpoise by Mark Haddon
- The Man Who Saw Everything by Deborah Levy
- Good Day? by Vesna Main
- We Are Made of Diamond Stuff by Isabel Waidner
