The award recognises a bookseller not only for their exceptional performance within the bookshop that they work but also for their achievements within the book industry as well as the local and wider community.

, won the Patricia Wrightson Prize for Children’s Literature at the 2017 NSW Premier’s Awards.

. Fiona is known for her warm, chatty and approachable nature, and her passion for books and bookselling makes her a favourite among staff and customers alike. As well as the work she does promoting Australian crime writers at Readings, Fiona has her own popular blog
, is a committee member of the
Australian Crime Writers Association
and was a judge for their Ned Kelly Awards in 2016. Her middle-grade novel Rosebud was shortlisted for the Text Prize in 2016 and we’re sure it’s only a matter of time before we see Fiona’s name on our shelves.
The winners of the ABA Bookselling Awards will be announced at the 93nd ABA Conference on Sunday 18 June.
